Daniel Lurie is the CEO and Founder of the Tipping Point Community. Before founding Tipping Point Community in 2005, Daniel Lurie worked for the Bill Bradley presidential campaign, Accenture and the Robin Hood Foundation. The September 11th tragedy occurred within Daniel’s first week at Robin Hood and he was struck by how effectively the organization targeted relief efforts to low-income New Yorkers. Over the following few years, Daniel adapted Robin Hood’s model to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was born and raised. Since 2005, Tipping Point has raised over $80 million to educate, employ, house and support more than 365,000 people in need.
Daniel holds a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Goldman School at UC Berkeley. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mimi and Peter Haas Fund, the Levi Strauss Foundation and Single Stop USA. Daniel is the Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl L host committee.
