Daniel is the Chief of Staff and General Counsel of Credly, a digital credential service provider. During and following the 2008 financial crisis, Daniel served as Director of Higher Education for the New York State Governor’s office. In that capacity, Daniel also served as executive director of a task force on Industry-University collaboration focused on defining policies and practices to promote entrepreneurship and technology transfer across the state. Following law school, Daniel represented startup companies as a corporate transactional attorney at the law firm WilmerHale, helping founders and executives raise capital, hire employees, license technology and establish partnerships. Daniel earned a JD from Harvard Law School, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford. But all he really wants are digital badges.
