Jay van Zyl is the the founder of Innosect in 2014, an innovation management analytics company (previously known as Innovation Cafe),to create a platform for innovation in the machine learning age. He has a strong technical background but turned to computational social science. Spent the last 13 years working as an international consultant, speaker and educator. Obtained his PhD in 2001 with a focus on capability driven innovation. He is involved with ground-breaking work in Silicon Valley, most notably the Innovation for Jobs (i4j) community lead by David Nordfors and Vint Cerf. Jay’s most recent book: Built to Thrive, using innovation to make your mark in a connected world. Jay spent the last 25 years honing his skills in startups , both in consulting and product.
