Richard Boly

Richard Boly is an intrapreneur, consulting with the World Bank, IMF, Federal Reserve, Inter-American Foundation, and U.S. Institute of Peace.  He was a distinguished career U.S. diplomat, most recently the Director of the Office of eDiplomacy. Previously, he was a National Security Affairs Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where he launched the Global Entrepreneurship Program. He served in U.S. Embassy, Rome, where he developed and ran a program to promote entrepreneurship in Italy. Richard serves on the board of the Mind the Bridge Foundation, which connects the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems in Europe and Silicon Valley. He was also a diplomat in the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Paraguay. In a prior life, Richard founded and ran a shrimp hatchery in coastal Ecuador and helped launch the first Apple Macintosh. Richard is a graduate of Stanford University and the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD. He also sits on the boards of Bethesda Green, InnovateEDU, Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN) Global, AMPION, and TableTribes, and is a mentor at the Sprint Techstars accelerator.
